+ 1. What is the theme of The 5-Min Video Challenge?
The theme is “Connecting Lives”. Our lives are connected in many ways, and video is a great channel to depict this.
+ 2. What will the videos be judged on?
Local competitions will be held in each country and a total of 14 (fourteen) finalist entries (2 per country) will be shortlisted for the Regional Finals.
a. The video should be original and feature fresh storytelling
b. The video should be engaging and compelling
c. The video should use creative and innovative cinematography skills
d. The video should appeal to a wide demographic of viewers
e. The video should not contain any sexually explicit, unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, race, gender, religious, professional, sexual orientation or age group, obscene or offensive content.
+ 3. I’m interested! How can I submit my video?

+ 4. Can I submit my entry in other languages?
You can submit your video, details and synopsis in other languages. However, you will also need to have a video title, details and synopsis in English. English subtitles must also be provided and burned in together with the video.
+ 5. When is the deadline for the submission?

+ 6. Can I submit more than one (1) entry?
Yes, you can submit more than 1 entry as long as the video still adhere to our T&C and rules. Each entry needs a fully completed application form and a new unique video.
+ 7. How old must I be to take part in this Challenge?
You will need to be 18 years old and above at the time of entry or have prior written parent/ guardian consent if you are below 18 years old.
+ 8. Who can join this Challenge
The Challenge is open to everyone except employees and agents of Participating Operators, as well as contractors or subcontractors engaged in connection with the development or operation of The 5-Min Video Challenge.
+ 9. Can my entry be uploaded to YouTube for public viewing?
No. The YouTube link needs to be unlisted and not shared/embedded anywhere else during submission. Public YouTube videos will be disqualified. Video links may only be made public on the date decided by the Organisers.
+ 10. What will I get from winning the local competitions?
The 2 local competition finalists from each country will also receive prizes. Please visit your country’s site here to check the prizes.
+ 11. What are the prizes for the 5-Min Video Challenge Regional Finals?
The grand winner and runner-up will receive additional cash prizes of US$30,000 and US$15,000 respectively on top of the local competition prizes. All 14 (fourteen) finalists will also get the opportunity to promote their videos and collaborate on future projects with the Singtel Group.
